The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) is inviting online applications for the GNM Entrance Examination or commonly known as GNMEE. Candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in GNM Nursing can come forward to apply for the entrance examination of admissions into SSUHS GNM Nursing 2024.
In a recent move, the State Government of Assam announced the admissions into GNM, also called General Nursing and Midwifery. GNM is a Three and Half Year diploma course designed for candidates who wish to make a career in Clinical Nursing. Through this course, the aspirant nurses can effectively perform as members of the health team and become experts in handling the hospitals and relevant organizations’ competencies. However, the candidates should attempt an examination that assesses the candidates’ knowledge in the respective subjects. After completing the test, the nurses will get admission into various private and government colleges.

- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 17 to 35 years old as of 31st December 2024.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should meet one of the following criteria:
- Passed 10+2 with Science (PCB) & English with at least 40% marks.
- Completed 10+2 in Arts or Health care Science (Vocational stream) with English Core/Elective from a recognized Board with 40% marks.
- Completed vocational ANM under CBSE Board or equivalent with 40% marks.
- ANM Registration: Must be registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
- Physical Fitness: Candidates must be medically fit.
