UPSC CAPF AC Notification 2026 Out: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the recruitment notification for the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2026. This year, the Commission is looking to fill 349 vacancies for Group A Gazetted Officers in India's elite paramilitary forces, including the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

1. Nationality & Gender

  • ✔ Candidates must be citizens of India. Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan are also eligible.
  • ✔ Both Men and Women are eligible for the post of Assistant Commandant in all five forces.

2. Age Limit (As of 1st August 2026)

Minimum Age: 20 Years

Maximum Age: 25 Years

Birth Date Range: Candidate must have been born between 2nd August 2001 and 1st August 2006.

Age Relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and Ex-Servicemen/Central Govt Servants (5 years).

3. Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.

4. Physical Standards

Candidates must meet the following minimum physical requirements to qualify:

UPSC CAPF AC 2026 Selection Process

The selection consists of a highly competitive multi-stage process:

1. Written Examination

Date: 19th July 2026
  • Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence (250 Marks - Objective).
  • Paper II: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension (200 Marks - Descriptive).

2. Physical Standards/Efficiency Tests (PST/PET)

Qualifying nature. Includes:
• 100m race
• 800m race
• Long Jump
• Shot Put (Male only)

3. Interview/Personality Test

Conducted by UPSC, carrying 150 Marks.

Final Selection

Based on the combined marks of the Written Exam and Interview.

Select Exam: Navigate to the "Latest Notifications" and select the CAPF (ACs) Examination, 2026 module.

Upload Documents: Upload your scanned photograph (20-200 KB) and signature (20-100 KB) in JPG format. Provide details of a valid Photo ID Card.
